Our challenge
As a Scrum Master, candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting distributed product development teams in their Agile journey. Primary responsibilities include fostering an environment that embraces Agile values and practices, ensuring that teams continually assess their processes and improve their performance. Will facilitate clear communication among stakeholders, project teams, and program leaders, while maintaining essential artifacts such as Product Backlogs and Burndown Charts.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Alpharetta, GA and Berkeley Heights NJ is $100K - $110K/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
• Provide Agile leadership to distributed Product development teams
• Maintain and grow an environment that enables teams to embrace agile values, enact agile practices, continually assess and abide by agreements, and continually improve
• Be committed to meet/exceed the needs of the team's customers
• Provide clear and concise communication, both written and verbal
• Use data to assess progress, areas needing improvement, increase predictability
• Facilitate and manage communications to stakeholders, the broader project team, and program leaders
• Maintenance of artifacts such as Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Burndown Charts, etc.
• Proactively identify potential obstacles and eliminate them for and with the teams through active solutions and quality assurance measures (moderation and mediation)
• Close cooperation and coordination with Product Owners, agile teams, and other Scrum Masters
• Contact for all questions of agile software development and impulse generator for further development of agile processes and team development
• Protect and challenge the Scrum team in self-organization and taking responsibility to achieve the goals without losing sight of the Program goals
• Provide important artifacts in the form of meeting notes, documentation, follow-up items, etc.
• Prepare Sprint Status and Capacity Estimations reporting for the Development Team(s) Requirements:
You are:
• Minimum: 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) - Required
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Clarity, Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence)
• Must have successful experience in delivering to external clients
• Ability to work independently and with minimal direction
• Good methodological knowledge regarding moderation, mediation, change management and team development as well as the ability of decision-making and fact-finding It would be great if you also had:
• Other role experience Developer, QA, PM, BA
• Experience in digital commerce/payments
